Description
Partial logbook kept on board the ship BENJAMIN MORGAN of New London, Conn., Christopher Pendleton, master, for a voyage to the Pacific Ocean whaling grounds. Often mentions shipboard duties done by cooper, carpenter and blacksmith. Made 4 ports-of-call and spoke 18 vessels. Vessel was owned by Perkins and Smith (Voyage completed April 14, 1846).
