Description
Edward Barlow's journal, his life at sea in East and West Indiamen. Beginning in 1656, the journal covers his life from his early teenage years until he retired from the sea aged 61. The journal covers periods when he was part of the expedition that brought Charles II to England in 1660 for his restoration, and later when he sailed to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and to India and China in service of the East India Company.
