Journal kept by Nathaniel Saxton Morgan, a 16 year-old crewman aboard the ship HANNIBAL of New London, Connecticut. S. L. Gray, master, for a voyage to the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean whaling grounds. Contains colour illustrations of landfalls, mentions injuries and death at sea and describes activities aboard ship. Made 13 ports-of-call and spoke 58 vessels.
